From Nature to Necklace: How Nature and Sunlight Inspire My Jewellery Designs

When I stepped away from the fashion industry and into making, I found myself craving peace, out of London.  I found it outside, walking in nature around my new home in Windsor, Berkshire. I started noticing change of seasons, the trees, hearing birdsong in morning light. I would sit by the river in Eton watching the rhythmic rippling waters.

And felt such peace.

I didn’t expect nature to become not just a comfort, but a creative force.

Nature is my quiet collaborator. I would start to interpret shapes in nature into jewellery design ideas. I recently posted a quote by Dr Wayne Dyer "if you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change". I really had been living in my own head when i worked in London. I never stopped to look up at the sky, or see that we are part of nature.

Sunlight, especially, plays a huge role in how I design. I think about how a piece will catch the light when worn, that golden glint as someone turns their head. Even in the materials I choose, I lean toward things that mimic the lightness and delicacy of the natural world. From nature to necklace, I combine beautiful Silver with the contrast warming 24k Gold.

In a fast world, handmade jewellery offers a pause. A moment of grounding. Each piece I make is a little thank-you note to Mother Nature, and an invitation to notice the beauty we often rush past.

So if you’re someone who finds peace in birdsong, joy in flowers, or comfort in the warmth of the sun. I hope my jewellery speaks to something in you, a reminder that you are part of nature,

Explore the collection and find the piece that brings your favourite part of nature to life.
